Yay!!!

Hi everyone!!!

I'm sharing with you some goodies that I made for my Cricut so I hope you guys can use it. I just found that I LOVE my Cricut as I can take any files and convert them to an .svg file and then import them into Sure Cuts A Lot program. If you own a Cricut and don't own SCAL you NEED it for sure. I got mine from this website called Canda Crafts and it's absolutely the best money I've ever spent. I can use ANY font that I have installed on my computer and I only need but ONE Cricut cartridge. I'm using the one that I got with my Cricut called George and basic shapes. So here's a little flower pot I made using the flower from the George cartridge (right next to the heart).

I made a flower for the set Looks Like Spring and if you cut it out you can stamp the flower image with your Stamp-a-ma-jig. So that's going to be at the end of the post as well.

I also have a file for the 3x3 envelope that I created a few years ago on the SCS website. I was totally impressed when I found I can add images to the program called Inkscape and then convert these images to .svg files.

So with all that here's some of the projects I've done with these files.

Enjoy

Couple of new cards

Hi everyone. Man been a bit hectic the last couple of days so I apologize for not posting sooner. I don't have very much to share today - in fact only 2 cards - but I hope they inspire you to make something new as well.

This first card was made with a chocolate chip mini card and I used it on top of a regular sized card *4 1/4 x 5 1/2*. Inside of the little card is a Ghirardelli chocolate sqaure and it fits very nicely. It's held down with a mini gluedot.

I was blurfing that day and found a neat tut on useing your edge punch to make a scallop square or rectangle and used the technique to make the large brown scallop sqaure in chocolate chip cardstock.

Here's a picture of the card with the mini part open, showing the chocolate inside.

I used the new set Dreams de Jour for the image on the outside focal point. LOVE this new set of mine. I aslo used a new wheel for the Baja breeze background.

It's fun to play with all kinds of new goodies and seeing as the occasions mini has some new transaprencies with white images on them I tried my own with white stazon and an overhead transarency.

I love the swirl from the Baroque motifs set and used that as well as a saying from the set on the outside part of the card. The background band was rolled with yet another new wheel I bought and I have to say it's very nice to use.

Well that's it for today. Hope you all enjoyed some of the things I've shared today.

See you all again soon.

Happy Easter!!! and some new goodies to share

Hello everyone. Thanks SO much for the great comments on the last post. I so enjoyed making that set I just can't think of giving it away. LOL like I read on someone's blog the other day I guess I suffer from "Stampers Syndrome" - read more about it on Jan Tink's site. It's too hard for me to go giving away the very first project I make and then I just have to copy it or start on a new one, THEN what happens to the "stuff" I'm accumalating? It just sits around, looking nice. UMM yeah, but I'm running out of space man. Sheesh why's I gotta be such a packrat. My poor husband would probably love me more if I could get rid of a couple dozen boxes or so "stuff" hanging around with who knows what kind of stamping stuff in it. Seriously my space is getting smaller by the month - as I accumulate more "stuff" and stamps and whatnots. But hey, what's a girl to do, rubber therapy is the best therapy I've ever had. Gimme a shout if you suffer from any kind of stress and I'll give you the info to go on rubber therapy lol.

I'm still working on getting all the stampsets I bought last month mounted, but I'll just do it as I need the sets. Thank goodness Stampin Up has all the sets already pre cut now, so it's a breeze mounting them. Poor rubber scissors are going to start getting a complex, because now I hardly ever use them.

Well on to the fun stuff. I made a couple of thank you cards for some very special ladies. We went to supper at our Old Country Buffet on Tuesday and I just had to have a little something for them both. I made a little 3x3 magazine style card holder with 3 3x3's and envies. Of course I didn't remeber to take PICTURES so I'll have to make a new set - ha I didn't make one and keep it this time!!!!! But I did take pictures of the cards so here they are.

Lots of HugS everyone and have a Happy Blessed Easter Sunday!!!!!

Becky's totally awesome tote!!

I was a busy little girl and made this totally awesome tote from the pattern I bought from Becky over on Inking Idaho. I just love her projects and she's SO good at making tuts with colored pictures and awesome instructions.

This is a really neat project and I found the paper at Meijer for almost half off what it normally cost as it was on clearance. The sheets have a metallic sheen to them where the patterns are printed.

So without further ado here they are.

Enjoy

Happy Sunday!!

Hello everyone!!! I hope everybody is having a great Sunday morning.

I'm finally able to post some pictures of a little project I did for a friend of mine's daughter who is in the hospital at the moment. I found this post on a Valentine's treat and went my own way to make a similair holder for 2 Bath&Body works items.

I used the Sale A Bration DP and Bashful blue cardstock. It was a very fast project because I needed to drop it off last night. The little cello bag was stamped with the cute butterfly image from "Dreams Du Jour" SU set and it's SO SO pretty. I love this newly aquired set.

Not much have been happening in my world. Been busy working and working some more. LOL I have a second job now which I TOTALLY love.

My kids are all going to be off next week and hopefully we'll still have a house standing each night when we get home lol. Leaving 3 teenagers home might prove to be a dangerous thing. I'll let you all know how it went.

Ok so here's the picutres of the little holder. I also wrapped a candy bar in some DP and put a little tag on it. I used the set "Sweet Shapes" from SU for it. The cello bag's tag is from the set "Best Yet" a hostess set.

More pictures for a project I made tomorrow.

Monday whoohooo!!!!

LOL I'm up early today - quite the shocker for me as I'm so NOT a morning person - and thought I'd post some on my blog. I only have a few pictures today as my camera did NOT want to co operate with me on Saturday at Regionals in London Ontario. So I ended up with just a few pictures and haven't even had time to take pictures of the wonderful swaps I've gotten.

I did get a question about the swap I made and to answer it: I used a wide double sided tape on some white cardstock - the white cardstock was cut at about 4x5 - and then I used pre punched sqaures - done with the 1 1/4 punch as that is the only size sqaure punch I own as I have a set of sqaure nestabilities - placing them on the cardstock with some overhang. So I just used about 4 of each color on my white cardstock and then ran it through my cuttlebug with the top die note.

So here are my most favorite card from regionals and hopefully I can finish the make and takes - hehehe yes I didn't finish them there - and take some pictures for you later this week.

Have a great Monday!!

Convention!!!!!!!!

All Stampin Up Products used. Sahara sand for the background piece. All the little 1 1/4 squares were punched from the Sale a bration DP. Top note die. Best yet - hostess set. Oval punches. So Saffron pollytwill ribbon.

WOW I've never been to a SU convention so I'm super excited to say that I'm going to my first ever today.

I made a couple of swap cards - lol probably not enough - but I thought I'd put the card on the website with all the info as well.

So I'll tell you all about the day when I'm at home again tomorrow.

Newest cards

Hello everyone. I've had some time to sit down and post a blog post today, so I'm going to share some of the cards I've made the past weeks.

For the most part these will be used for my Birthday club over on SCS, but I did have to make a few thank you cards for some stuff I'd ordered. My newest acquisition is "Faboulous Flowers" from SU and I LOVE it!!!! I don't have any cards to share I made with it yet, because my camera's battery decided to die in the process of me taking tons of pics. LOL guess I shouldn't let them pile up and THEN decide to do mass picture taking, it doesn't want to work so well.

So please leave any comments if you have any. I'm always happy to hear from everyone who stops at my little corner of the web.

Farewell!

Well today my household is in shrouded in utter misery as my poor wonderful Tigger died last night. He was such a wonderful kitty. LOVED following mommy around and I knew he'd always be outside the bathroom door waiting for me IF he didn't sneak in before the door closed. He's going to be sorely missed and the void he left in my heart will slowely grow smaller but he'll NEVER be forgotten. I have never been much of a kitty person, but 5 years ago my no 14 year old dog was giving me a hard time staying home alone so we got a kitty to "babysit" his older doggie brother. ALAS all that did was teach the kitty to sit at the door mewing when the dog was howling when mommy was at work. They finally settled into a semblance of co existence, although Tigger LOVED to tease Rupert and it would always ended up in a rather noisy cachaphony of growls and barks.

So today this post is in rememberance of a wonderfully special kitty who blessed my life with love and companionship for the past 5 years.

Love you Tigs!!!

3. It'll be done this year! (I will get it to you in the next month or so, hopefully - grin).
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I have tons of ideas, but who knows what it will be? Not you, that's for sure!
5. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog! (then come here and post, I WILL check your blog *wink*) The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a homemade gift by me! Update

Well my mom finally phoned today to let me know my sister is out of the hospital. Unfortunaly she's had a fall since she left and has hurt her neck pretty badly in the fainting incident. She's not in any danger, but the doctors have tested for meningitis - they drew some of her spinal fluid for test and she's had a severe reaction to that, therefore she's dizzy and that's how the fall came about. She was diagnosed with severe depression and stress and that's what's been causing the pressure on her brain. Tumers where ruled out as the cat scan was clean, thank goodness.

Thanks SO much for all the prayers and the cards that are in the mail. Once I get them I'll send her a 'get well' package and hopefully she'll be better in no time at all.

Hugs and have a happy stamping Monday.

Funky Friday Tut

Just wanted to put this video on my blog for all you guys who like to make cards visually. I love love love this cardstyle and always come back to it. LOL if you have tons of white cardstock you'd be able to use it for this project.

Hope you enjoy. Leave me a comment if you found this useful. Here's what the card looks like I've made.
Might help if you have the dimentions right lol. For the white cardstock 8x5 1/4" scored at 4" and tear bottom part of it. Colored cardstock is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.

Oh Boy

Well I'm truly sorry for posting a blog candy update and then dissapearing. Had some major family stuff to take care of PLUS an interview in Detroit for my residency card. So major stressout and no time for blogupdating.

However I will be adding a blog candy link today and all you need to do is send a Get Well card - I'll be sending these to my big sister who is sick in hospital and they don't know why she's got pressure on her brain. So please send a Get Well card so I can pass it on.

I had so much fun figuring out - well yeah I had some frustration tooo!!!!!! - WMM but now I think I can navigate around it pretty good and enjoy playing with the features. I still have TONS of features that I can add and play with but more of those next time.

So here's the project we're going to be making today. Enjoy the video and feedback and comments are always welcomed.

First Video Tutorial

First of all I just want to let everyone know that this isn't my idea that I came up with. Here's a link to the original video on Fiskars TV that I found and the person who made these for the very first time is Julie McGuffee. So thanks Julie for a wonderful idea. These are SO darling.

Ok this is my very first try at making a tut and it's not all that wonderful yet. I guess I need to get a couple gadgets like a tripod to make it easier to film. You guys DON"T want to know how I rigged up my camera to videotape this lol. Anyhow I hope that it works. I don't have a video editing program so this might be a bit long. I hope it works.

Enjoy.

PS I'm SO sorry for the poor quality of this video, maybe by the next one I'll know better what to do.

Well here's the card I made. I'm very much into the pinks right now. Don't know why, but I LOVE the new in colors and then of course Regal Rose and Rose Red will always be on my list.

New items

I have a couple of new things I'd love to share with you. I found this totally cute box video on Dawn's blog and just had to give it a whirl. I don't have pictures just yet as my camera's batteries have died and I'm charging them at the moment. So pics to follow - I promise lol.

I also made a couple of these cute little purses - they hold 4 Hershey nuggets. This is SO cute and you can embellish it in so many ways it's not even funny. All of your purses can look different.

I'm busy working on some secret sister swaps and want to get most of them finished by next week so I can send them out. I'm waiting to order some more bind it all coils - smaller ones, for little mini notebooks and smaller items. Until I get those I won't be doing much with my bind it all. I do love it and it works great. Definetely a good investment.

Well check back later to see the pics and have a happy stamping day.

Secret sister

I just love making things for my secret sisters in the exchanges I am in. And seeing as I just got my bind it all this week I jumped right in there and made this adorable little mini bragbook for her.

She loves pink and also hearts so this is a perfect combination for her. I do hope she'll like it as much as I do! LOL.

Boy oh boy

Man alive!!! It seems I can't keep up posting on my poor blog everyday. What a shame as I'm on the computer EVERYDAY but just don't always do the blog thing. LOL I think it's because it takes too long to put up all the pics just right. LOL or maybe I'm just lazy. Anyhow I have a couple of cards to share with you. I've been cruising around on Dawn's blog TONS lately and found a couple of cute cards there so I had to case. Also she has some AMAZING tuts on her new video tut site. Go check her blog out.

Easter!!!

I was just playing around today with some new stamps and after cruising around the gallary on SCS I made a couple of cards. The first one is an Easter card that I'm putting in my mailbox tomorrow for my Maillady Sharon. She's so awesome and never folds stuff into my mailbox but rather puts it on my doorstep. She's awesome so I had to make her something special.

Then I played around with my new Watercolor mini set that I received from Katie on a PIF thread over on SCS. It's a lovely little set and that little lilac type stamp is WONDERFUL for background and fillers. I love it. Thanks KATIE!!!! The dots are all the rave right now so I dotted just about everything! LOL had fun making it.

My third card was a card that Jilanne - a new SCS buddy - and I did. We decided to have our very own little virtual stamp date and chose a sketch challenge from the past to do it. We both used the Loads of Love and Loads of Love accesorries sets to make these. Once again, thanks SO much Jilanne for being my friend. It's FUN haning with you and I have to have Jilannemail in my inbox at LEAST once a day.

Swap Cards

Ok so I promised yesterday that I would share the swap cards I've made.

Here they are. Isn't that a gorgeous purple. So very nice and deep it's almost blue. And the flowered paper is SO cute. LOL I had a ton of fun putting this together for Marci's swap. See info for that swap here. I'll be mailing this out to you next week Marci!!! Thanks for hosting!!!

I've been having so much fun on the SCS forums and making so many new friends that it makes me sit in front of my computer WAY too long lol. I'm gonna have to start doing computer aerobics or something when I plant my butt in my computer chair!!! Think of all the money I'd be able to make having people do computer aerobics while surfing the net!!!!

Anyhoo that's it for today.

See you tomorrow.

More new cards

I've had lots of time to play and make cards this week so I'll share with you what I have.
I got these Bella images in a PIF group and decided it was time that paper see some INK. Lol so I colored with my SU markers and added some crystal effects to the boots in this first card.

It was a lot of fun coloring the background stamp in 2 different colors and then stamping it. I stamped it on the first card and then again on this one getting a lighter background with the same colors. Loved how it turned out.

This card uses the technique Faux Cloissonne. It was for SCS Challenge here. The page I used from the magazine was for a jellybean add and I just loved the colors. They looked like they would match the new In Color Blue bayou and River Rock. This is a VERY fun technique to do and so very easy too. The hardest part is finding a stamp that has nice outlines to work well with your embossing powder.

This next card is so totally Tonni's idea and I have to give her credit. It is such a sweet fold and she made this for her friend who's also in our stamp club because it was her birthday on Monday. LOL after I saw her card I bought the set Kanji from my demo - she has a huge tub filled with all her retired sets and all at 50% off the catty price. So this is my take on her card.

Ok all the new cards for right now. I'll be sure to post some new ones again later. I have a swap set that I'll be posting on here tomorrow for ya'll to see.

Happy weekend.

Splitcoast Challenges

Today's cards are all about the challenges over on SCS. When I saw the heaing for today's challenge WT157 PP Here, PP There, PP/DP EVERYwhere! ROFL I just HAD to go sit down and make a card. I pulled out an all time favorite of mine - boy you gotta see how stained the wood is from use - Delight In Life. I'd used this DP on a criss-cross card earlier and had some scraps left over on my craft table so because I just LOVE the new in colors - and these go really well with the Groovy Guava and River Rock - that's exactly what I used. What a fun way to use up all those scarp pieces of PP lying around too.

Rox71 had an awesome challenge for the Sketch Challenge yesterday
Sketch Challenge 167 (03/12/08). I saw in card in the gallary the other day useing In Full Bloom and masking flowers for the background. So I used that technique on my block panels and then embossed it all in holographic EP. I love the sparkle and bling and enjoyed playing along a lot. Thanks for a great challenge Rox!!!

Well more about the challenges and new cards tomorrow.

Lots of new cards

LOL I've been busy stamping and been doing some more challenges. I also played along in the Mini VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) on SCS this weekend. It was a BLAST and so so fun. LOL I've also been spending WAY too much time on the PIF threads and got to meet some wonderful new friends.

On Saturday one of the girls (scraphappilly on SCS) and I decided spur of the moment to get together and go shopping at Hobby Lobby. We found out we live about 30 min from each other so it was a nice quick trip. LOL we had a HOOT and gabbed and gabbed and gabbed. The shopping was fun too I just wish I had more money to spend on my addic....... I'm I mean my stamping habit. Heidi did buy 2 copics and I'm still waiting on her info about how nice they are. LOL then maybe I'll get on the copic bandwagon TOO. Talking about that I just got MY very first ever Bella. I got her in a PIF thread and she's Bubblebella. When I first heard about Bella's I didn't think too much about them and thought igh I'm not gonna go there and start that up. LOL well oh boy I'm HOOKED. And all it took was ONE little Bella. So go see what there is on the Stampingbella site maybe just maybe you'll get bit by the Bellabug too lol.

Ok on to the cards.

This cutey card here I made on Monday. I was browsing the new cards and found a card that used this flower scallop from the new So Many Scallops SAB set. LOL I just HAD to make my own and so out came the DP and the colors went from there. Man the new 5/8 grossgrain from SU is SO fun to use.

This is the first of the VSN night cards. It uses the Faux Silk technique and it's SO easy. LOL to think I was intimidated at first to try this technique. Well let me tell you it's SUPA easy and fun. I LOVE the retired set In the Spotlight. LOL so glad my demo sold it to me!! Luv ya Jill!!!

The next challenge was to have (0r in my case make) a card and then case it but doing a SLIM version lol. Because the mini VSN was all about fashion, and we ALL know models are supposed to be tall and skinny right? Anyhoo these use the also retired hostess set Flowers for a Friend. Three of the flowers on each card is cut out and popped up on dimensionals.

Here's another technique I've never tried until this weekend. It's called Split negative and a tutorial can be found here. It's a lot easier than it looks believe me. Only trouble I had was cutting the paper once the embossing powder was already heated on it. The cutter kept wanting to scrape off the EP. Not sure I like the summer sun on there but oh well.

The last of the 4 challenges I did was this beauty. I LOVE pearl ex because it makes everything so shiny and sparkly. This is ANOTHER hostess set I used. Not sure when it retired but it's called Haute Couture. LOL it just sounded so "right" for this night that I had to reach for it. The certainly celery piece is stamped with the shoe image and then embossed with my cuttlebug embossing folder called Texture. Gotta love that cuttlebug eh?

Well I'm off to go to some challenges on SCS and HOPEFULLY I'll be able to upload those today. If not look for 'em tomorrow.

Till then

No posts

Ugg I've been bad again and not updating my blog everyday. I do have some GREAT news though. LOL I met another SCS buddy in real live. Turns out that scarphappily *Heidi* only lives 30 min from me and so yesterday SPUR of the MOMENT we decided to meet up and go spend some money at Hobby Lobby. LOL like I need an excuse to go shopping. ROFLMOA I did however spent a whole WHOPPING 1.67 on some stumps for my Prisma pencils. Heidi got some copics and she'll let me know how they are and whether I need to get some.

I'll post some pics of projects I did this weekend on the Mini VSN. It was fun playing along and this was the FIRST ever VSN where I could ACTUALLY see the stuff on my computer and work on the items at the same time. Last time I had to run back and forth between the upstairs and the downstairs. Not so good.

Well see ya'll tomorrow.

Color challenge

OOOOOHH over on SCS today the color challenge was Purely Pomegranite, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. SOSO pretty. So of course I had to play along. I took forever to decide what set I wanted to use and found a cute card in one of the older catalogs. I totally cased it but changed the colors and some of the stamping elements. I enjoyed playing along today and look forward to next weeks colors.

I also wanted to add the pictures of the very first squash book that I did. I LOVED the one my demo showed me and she also had some printed out instructions so I got those from here and started out. I did OSW on the background pages as I thought that was going to be heavier than the DP that I had. I love the white CS that I bought at Office Max for $10. And there's 250 sheets in there, 110lb weight. Super nice for cards and background papers. Once AGAIN I used Purely pomegranite - as this is my favorite color right now.

So hope that some of these inspire you to sit down and do some stamping. Come back again soon to see what new goodies I have.

New rubba

Ok so I've been totally SPOILED this weekend. I just got SIX brand new sets of rubba AND TWO retired sets. PLUS I have THREE more wheels now!!!

I've been wanting to order Lovely as a Tree since FOREVER but always keep bumping it down the list for something more affordable or just for paper and new "In Colors". So I finally broke down and got this set and Curvy Verses as well. LOL now I just hope they don't retire these in June!!!!

Anyhooo so I played with my new rubba after I mounted them all and made this fast and fun little card. I cuttle bugged the background for some texture and then just stamped my image in Stazon black and colored over top with chalks and a sponge dauber. The ribbon is retired and fitted JUST right with the sky color so I stapled 3 of them on the side after mounting the white on Basic black cardstock. I had fun making this card.

For my next card I used some images I got in the WRAK forum over on SCS. I love love love the retired set "Sassy Stems" and asked for some of the flowers in the vases. Out came the 2006/7 retired catty and I CASED one of the samples in there for this image. I wasn't TOO pleased with how it turned out, the catty's sample was a much darker Paisly BG but oh well. LOL and this was done upstairs last night as I was watching a movie, lol I carried about a 1/3 of my stamp room upstairs to play and then had to carry it all back downstairs again when I was done!!!

For this last card I used another retired set called Fun with Shapes. I saw a card in the gallery on SCS a long time ago and liked it so much that I just HAD to have this set. Luckily my SU demo had it in her retired stash and I scooped it up!!!! Hence the retired set. BUT I did play with my brand spanking new River Rock and it's GORGES!!!!!!!!!!!!! It really is a wonderful color and I think I like this Color combo that was Tuesdays challenge.

So hope you have a blessed Sunday and enjoy some stamping time.

So Kind

I just love the new Cutie pie designer paper that stampin up has. So for todays card I used all those pretty pretty colors and made my own background. I love the way these colors work together and have to say that it's one of my new favorite combos.

Please leave any comments if you have any.

Wonderful piece

This card was totally inspired by Chat over at Me, My stamps and I. I browsed around blogworld today and stumbled onto this beautiful card frame she had made. LO and BEHOLD she has a tutorial so go on over to her site and give it a whirl.

So to make my card I just had to use Purely Pomegranite one of the 2008 In color because it's my official favorite right now. Pairing it up with white and some Rose Red ribbon and we have a winning combo. So please leave some feedback and lemme know what you think.

Some new cards

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to post some new cards I had made over that last couple of days. The first one is a CASE out of the Nov Paper Crafts issue and was made by Melanie Robson. I changed the colors a bit and added some sparkle to the black.

This second one was inspired by a card I had made a while back and just wanted to try some of the new In Colors on. So here it is.

More tomorrow.

Shame shame shame on me

Yes I'm so ashamed to say that I was just about fed up with bloggin on my hubbies pc when my stepsons computer ended up in the basement because of bad grades. LOL SO until the next reportcards come out I'll have this to my disposal and can blog everyday until then.

I've missed sharing my art with ya'll and am so glad that I have the oppertunity again. SO here are some projects we did last night at our stamp club meeting. It was freezing cold and I nearly tripped as I went up my Demos driveway but made it in tact, with the creamcheese dip I had as well LOL.

This was such a fun project to make although it took us some time to get everything lined up and perfect to spin just right. I LOVE little pieces and now I'm conviced I have to get the Moma set to it "Big Pieces".

This one came as a CASE out of the Sale-a-bration booklet and was fun fun fun to make.

Last but not least was this little diorama card that is also very cute. I just love making these and Dawn has a tutorial on her blog for these if anyone wants to go have a look.

Well that's it for now. I'll be back tomorrow with some more.

MIA

I'm sorry I've been missing in action ladies. My hubbies computer isn't working so good. We're just glad that it actually goes to the internet and he can play his online game. LOL I've had to resort to useing my stepsong pc now and will hopefully be updating my blog a bit more regularly. It's quite a hassle to get all my files to his pc and I'm all about convenience, but hey what can you do.

So HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and enjoy the time off. Do some stamping.

Post Halloween items

These were made for my son's friends and school teachers for Halloween. I SO enjoyed making these cute little boxes. They go superfast and are very easy to make. I don't even print a pattern for them and just make the score lines on the papercutter. Then I cut the lines out that aren't necessary and use the rest to fold and make the boxes.

The lolliholders were made by 3x6 pieces of doublesided halloween cardstock. Scored at 2 1/2, 2 3/4 and 5, fold on scorelines and punch a hole in the are between the 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 folds. Put the lollipop stick in there and secure with a gluedot or doublesided tape. Embellish front as needed.

Hope you enjoyed these, even though they are a bit late.

Have a great weekend and lotsa hugs
Sandra

Bad weather

Hi everyone

Just wanted to apologize for not posting much this week. We had a tornado go through Williamston on Thursday night and it's been a bit hairy. The town had no power for about 2 days and the mayor aksed the town to be declared in a "State of emergency" so we can get help from the county and resources to help clean up.

We were fortunate enought not to have any damage to our apartment or the surroundings and had power but no cable for a couple of days.

So please excuse me as I'm not posting much right now.

Have a great weekend.

Some new things to share

I haven't been stamping much lately as I feel like I'm in a funk. So I decided this morning it is time to play with some new techniques and some new goodies. So here are the cards I made.

This was made useing the mulberry batik technique. It didn't turn out exactly as I had wished but I "fudged" it "right" - lol. I do enjoy this and once I have a couple more color refills I'll be trying this again.

This here withcy goody is a matchbook holder with 2 lifesaver candies inside. I found this adorable stamp at Micheals yesterday and love useing it. I'm planning on making a few more of these matchbooks for my son's friends in school for Halloween.

Well that's it then. No more to share. I can't get the rest of the picutes uploaded as Blogspot's having a bit of technical difficulties. I'll try again later. Hope you have a fun, stamping Saturday.

Mini Clipboard

Hi everyone. I thought I'd share a project I made for a fleamarket a while back. LOL I ended up not going but hey now I have some goodies to build on for the craft sale we're going to have at my church in Novemeber. I love making these cute little clipboards as they are very easy and quick.
I used some DP that I bought at Jo-Anns as it's so very much Fall oriented. Included in the little office set is 2 paperclips - a jumbo and a medium - and a pen.
Well I have to go work on some pay it forward packages and cards that need to go out tomorrow morning. So have a great day and do something fun for yourself today.

New projects and some links for them

Ok so I finally have a couple of new projects to share with you all. I've been doing some crafts for a craftshow that fell through and now I have all these goodies I'll keep for a craft show we're going to have in November at my church. This cute cute little mini backpack is stuffed with some candies and it's SO fun to make. Go have a look at the instructions on Mary's site and then try it yourself. You're gonna fall in love!!

Also as I was browsing through SCS this morning
I found this adorable file folder card.
Beate is SO talented and here's her site to go have a look at the tutorial. I couldn't just make one of these so I have 2 of them to share with you today. The crab on this image is from "Fishy Friends" a retired SU stampset that I LOVE. I used crystal stickles after I'd colored him in with Prisma color pencils and gamsol. Then I added the 2 googlie eyes. The paper he's stamped on was handmade by me last year. It was my first try at making paper and although it was a huge mess it was tons of fun.

For this one I used the "Priceless" set by SU. I just loved this set the moment I saw it and knew I HAD to have it. I've been playing with it, but can see that I'm gonna be using it for a long long long time. It's fun to play with. I also bought the brass embossing plate and will be playing with that in the near future. The cute little eyelets are the EXACT color of the SU cameo coral and was bought online through a bulk share. I have all 48 colors in the eyelets and love using them.
Well that's it for today. I hope you found something interesting here today. Have a wonderful stamping evening.
